✎How to find the odd one out
- 1Question: Which word is the odd one out? Maths, English, breakfast, Science
- 2Think: Look at each word. Three are school subjects. Breakfast is a meal.
- 3Answer: Breakfast is the odd one out because it is not a school subject.
🚫Common mistake
Don't say 'make homework'. The correct phrase in English is 'do homework'.

School subjects in English start with a capital letter: Maths, English, Art, PE.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all meals. Always use 'have' with them: have breakfast, have lunch, have dinner.

- 2School subjects always start with a capital letter in English: Maths, English, History, Art.
- 3Use 'do' with homework: do homework (NOT make homework). This is a common mistake.
