Unit 1: Perfect & Continuous Tenses
Present Perfect Continuous
have/has been + -ing for recent or ongoing actions.
Past Perfect Simple
had + past participle for the earlier of two past actions.
Past Perfect Continuous
had been + -ing for duration up to a past point.
Unit 2: The Passive Voice
Passive: simple and continuous tenses
be + past participle across present/past simple and continuous.
Passive: perfect, future and modal
has been / will be / must be + past participle.
Unit 3: Reported Speech
Reported statements
Full backshift, pronoun/time/place changes.
Reported questions
asked if/whether; wh- with statement word order.
Unit 4: Conditionals & Wishes
Third conditional
If + past perfect, would have + past participle.
Mixed conditionals
Past condition → present result, and vice versa.
Unit 5: Clauses, Patterns & Modals
Relative clauses: defining & non-defining
who/which/that/whose/where/when and commas.
Gerunds and infinitives
Verb patterns: + -ing, + to, or both.
